remote work
We offer our diverse, international team the freedom to work from wherever they like. However, we also have beautiful offices in LA and Brazil for team members to work out of whenever they like.
flexible schedules
We know that forcing night owls to start work at 6am isn’t the best for productivity, so we let folks define their own hours—work out a schedule that fits with your team and you’re good to go.
incubated skunkworks
If you have a good idea, and a sound business plan, AE will provide resources to bring it to life. Found a startup where your co-founders are rock stars, and your support network is an incredible team of developers, data scientists, and designers.
equity sharing
AE collects equity from clients, and generates equity from the skunkworks projects that it incubates. Every year, this equity is distributed to the team. The risk is diversified, and the upside is large.
company retreats
Once (often twice!) a year, we fly the entire global team to an exotic destination (usually on the beach) for a few days of in-person fun—drinks, hackathons, team activities, and good times ensue.
1-on-1 coaching
Each team member is paired with a facilitator for short, weekly meetings designed to encourage growth and ensure success. Share feedback, improve processes, and share exciting things that you’re working on.

We don’t believe in leaving things that can be better stagnant or reinventing the wheel. We take bigger and bigger baby steps that start small and are continually tested until they work. Compounding, accelerating progress is more powerful than people can imagine.

We believe in effective communication with clarity and generosity and its ability to prevent most problems, both between individuals through things like feedback, and on teams through great tools, processes, and practices that encourage overcommunication.

We understand the value of and create structures as an extension of ourselves that allow us to be fully present, like notes, lists, an optimized laptop, or great people, to augment our own thinking, productivity, and happiness.

We believe that if everyone does more than their fair share, figures out what needs to be done and does it with ownership mentality, and encourages others to do the same, we will go faster, further, and defeat the prisoner’s dilemma, as the best, happiest versions of ourselves.
