SCMP came to us with a vision: creating a standard for Artifact NFTs, NFTs that have historical significance. They wanted to have their newspaper covers from the year 1997 become the first Artifacts in honor of the anniversary of the handover of Hong Kong to China.
Using Flow blockchain technology, we created smart contracts and an administrative system that allows SCMP to create and manage NFT drops. The drops happen in the form of Artifact Packs with multiple NFTs of a variety of rarities. SCMP sold out the first drop of 1307 packs within the first 2 hours.
